    Situated in Khanh Hoa Province, Nha Trang is the most famous coastal city of Vietnam with the total area of 252,6km2. The city is well-known as the pearl of the Far East with stretching long beaches, blue crystal sea water and islands such as Hòn Tre (Bamboo Island), Hòn Tằm (Silkworm Island), Hòn Mun (Black Island) and Hòn Vợ – Chồng (Husband and Wife Island).

    Nha Trang used to be the territory of the Cham. Its name was derived from the word of “Yatrang” which meant Reed Grass River (to mention Cai River, a river crossing the area) in Cham’s language. There are still many architectural monuments of Cham Dynasty left in Nha Trang nowadays. And the most popular one to tourists is Ponagar Cham Tower.

    Beside the coastline, along Hung Vuong Street, Tran Phu Street, Biet Thu Street, Tran Quang Khai Street and Nguyen Thien Thuan Street, there is a small quarter called as the Western Town of Nha Trang. Not as crowded and busy as the Western Town in Ho Chi Minh City, the one here has its own characteristics.  Each food shop has a different name and nationality reflecting the diversity of the Europe community who come here for vacation or stay back permanently.

    Vinpearlland is an amusement park which combined with the five-star international standard resort in Bamboo Island. Its cable car system break the record of the longest sea-crossing cable car in the world. The City also has been chosen to hold many big event such as Sea Festival, Miss Vietnam, Miss Universe and Miss Earth, etc.

    Nha Trang Beach is an ideal choice for visitor to experience many interesting sea activities like walking under the sea, diving, windsurfing and flyboard.


    It is in the savanna tropical climate zone. The weather is mild here. The average temperature is about 26,30C. There are two seasons: rain season begins from September to December and dry season begins from January to August.
