    The biggest church of Nha Trang has a lot of names but mostly known as the Mountain Chucrh. Constructed between 1928 and 1930 by the French colonists, the Moutain Church (Nhà Thờ Núi) was built in architectural style of the Western church. In general, the church has strong and impressive architecture. The highest point of the church is the cross on top of bells tower which is 38 metres high from the ground.

    Nearly 500 bombs was used to get the church located on a small mountain named Bông, about 12 metres high. The church was officialy opened on May 14th 1933. Nowadays, there are two ways to go to the church. One path is included 53 stair steps. The other path is from the roundabout leads to the back yard of the church.

    Priest Louis Vallet (1869 - 1945), aslo known as the man designed the church, put all his effort to built the church. His body was buried at the foot of the mountain when he passed away. On November 24th 1960, Nha Trang Diocese was promoted to The Main Diocese and The Mountain Church was officially selected as main cathedral.
