    Introduction

    Hoi An Ancient Town (also Fai-Fo or Faifoo) is an ancient town located downstream from the Thu Bon River, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam, far from Da Nang City about 30 km south. Due to geographical factors and favorable climate, Hoi An was a thriving international trading port, the meeting place of the Japanese, China and foreign people during the 17th and 18th century.

    Luckily, Hoi An was not destroyed in two wars and avoid the process of massive urbanization late 20th century. Since 1980, the value of the architecture and culture of the ancient town of Hoi An has gradually had scholars and tourists attention, making it become one of the appealing destination of Vietnam. With approximately 120,000 inhabitants, Hội An is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.

    The architectural monuments are in Hoi An: pagodas, temples, family chepel, assembly hall, Covered  Bridge (also known as Japanese Bridge). The bridge is about 18 meters long, crossing over Thu Bon River, connecting Tran Phu street with Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.

    Beside, there are four museums highlighting the history of the region: The Museum of History and Culture, The Hoi An Folklore Museum The Museum of Trade Ceramics, The Museum of Sa Huỳnh Culture 

    On the day of the full moon festival (14th of the lunar calendar), Hoi An ancient town turn out the lights and hanging lanterns brilliant or put down bright drop flower on the river. That is the monment you find yourself back to the quiet and pleased atmosphere of old days.

    + Afternoon: 14:00 PM – 17:00 PM

    Tips:

    - Tailoring clothing stores, clothing, footwear, handbags ... taken on the same day, after about 4 hours, you can get the item that you just put the appliance with price ranges from 15-100 dollars.

    - Entrance to the museum is permitted with a Hoi An Entrance Ticket.

    - A variety of activities are emerging which allow guests to get out of the old quarter and explore by motorbike, bicycle, Kayak or motorboat.

    - Hoi An Night Market: Open from 17h00 - 23h00 daily on Nguyen Hoang Street (opposite Covered Bridge) with 40 stalls selling products like toys crafts pottery, lanterns and specialty television President of Hoi An.
